Persian Culture

The Persians were mostly Muslim this is demosnstrated in the Rubiaiyat, and Manners of Kings, in there most frequently used the name of Allah in the examples and reasons to be good. " Those who bridle thier anger and forgive men; for Allah loveth the beneficent." They also believe that we need to work for the future of ours souls not living in the past. This is demonstrated by the sections in the Rubaiyat in the section LXXI, "The moving finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on; nor all your Piety nor wit Shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all your tears wash out a word of it.

Gilgamesh and Noah

Gilagamesh and Noah have very similar stories. I believe that this is, in my opinon, a result of the story of Noah being retold throught the world. I think that because the bible was written later it often doesn't get credited with the origin of the flood story. I believe that the story of Noah was around before then was heard by the Summarians then adapted to fit thier culture and the moral that they wanted to convey.
